Are you looking for a challenge? North 40 Outfitters has an opening for an experienced Application Developer to lead our fledgling Development Team. As our Lead Application Developer, you should be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment to develop solutions and provide technical expertise as needed. In order to thrive in this position, you should have full stack development experience in an Agile environment; server admin, cloud, front-end, database, back-end, and design. You will be responsible for the design and integration of applications with our Inventory, e-Commerce and PIM systems.   • Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features

  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications

  • Design creative prototypes according to specifications

  • Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines

  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications

  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features

  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

  • Design stable, reliable and effective databases

  • Integration between databases and other systems; Inventory, e-Comm, PIM

  • Application development based on these databases and integrations

  • Lead an Agile Team (Scrums, Sprints)

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter

  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems

  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns

  • Create and verify backups of data

  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution

  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary

  • Maintain and document operational, configuration, or other procedures

  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
