U.S. Bank Corporate and Commercial Banking Project Manager - Instructional Design in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Develops training curricula, materials, and programs (including virtual classroom training, online training, and other technologies) to meet specific training/learning needs at U.S. Bank, primarily within the Corporate & Commercial Banking Credit Support team. Consults with business line and partners to develop training/learning initiatives designed to support critical business objectives. Identifies and assesses training/learning needs and designs skills training and other business line training/learning programs. Evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs/learning solutions and makes improvements or designs replacements. Such improvements may include conversion of telephonic training to an online format. Requires technical proficiency to design and modify online course content, including simulations, as well as execute online learning assignments and design/produce reporting. Facilitates ongoing virtual training sessions when appropriate.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Eight to ten years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Five to nine years training facilitation and instructional design experience or commensurate corporate & commercial credit experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Considerable knowledge of instructional design concepts and principles or interest and willingness to learn

  • Proficient in accounting and finance with an understanding of corporate and commercial credit analysis, administration, policy and procedures

  • Demonstrated expertise in content of assigned training curriculum including financial statement spreads, quarterly trend analyses, covenant tests, collateral reviews, compliance monitoring, loan documentation and loan setup.

  • Ability to comprehend credit approval documents

  • Experience with compliance and audit activities

  • Understands Corporate & Commercial Banking business line(s)

  • Ability to apply adult learning concepts and principles

  • Well-developed ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training curricula, materials, and programs in light of business objectives

  • Advanced knowledge of or willingness to learn a wide variety of training techniques and technologies

  • Effective presenter and facilitator including the use of audio visuals, online, and other technologies

  • Skilled with online course creation and related technologies (Teamsite, Captivate, Learning With US or other content authoring tools, Snagit, PhotoShop or other graphic editing software) or interest and willingness to develop expertise

  • Experienced with audio recording and audio recording editing, plus video and video editing are a plus

  • Proficient in deploying and facilitating training curricula, materials, and programs the incumbent has designed/developed

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Expert command of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
